The Ninja Professional Blender comes in three different models. Though none of them have the power of the Ninja Ultima Blender series, they are still good machines, and with a price tag that’s cheap in comparison, especially if you can find them with a coupon code or get them on sale. The three different models come with slightly more or less power plus different accessories.
How Easy is it to Use?
There is no doubt about it: This is one powerful blender. It’s not as powerful as other Ninja blenders, but it works extremely well for most jobs, such as making soups, smoothies, purees and baby food. Many buyers who have made review comments say that whatever you put in comes out very smooth.

It’s also very easy to clean, as not only are the pitcher and cups BPA free, but they are also dishwasher safe. One other easy way to clean it is to put in a little soapy water and blend it for a few seconds. Anything inside will be scrubbed clean by the powerful cyclonic action put out by the powerful stainless steel blades.
One of the features that make it so easy to clean is the removable blades. On many other blender models, the blades are fixed to the bottom of the container, so not only do you have to try to scrape food out from around them, it’s tough to get any stuck-on bits from the bottom of the blades. Here, you just unscrew the base, and you can get at all the parts easily.
As for noise, you’ll find it’s no quieter than other blenders of its kind. Let’s face it – most small kitchen appliances are noisy. However, when you have one as powerful as this, you don’t need to run it for very long, so the noise is short-lived.
What is it Best for?
- Baby food
- Great for smoothies
- Almond and peanut butter
- Coffee drinks – hot or frozen
- Pulverizing ice
How well does it work for juicing?
The short answer is that it does an okay job for making juice. Since it’s not an actual juicer, everything is in one container, so while it does a good job liquefying greens like kale and spinach as well as harder produce like apples and carrots, there will still be a fine pulp in your juice unless you use a strainer to separate out the liquid.
When grinding up leafy greens, it works best to put them in first so they are closest to the blades in the bottom of the unit.
How does it compare to other blenders like Vitamix?
This is such a great question, because no matter which Vitamix you buy, it’s going to cost you an arm and a leg. They’re far from cheap. However, Vitamix has a long-standing reputation of being extremely durable, lasting for years and years, and you absolutely know that anything you put in is going to be liquefied every time. That said, many user reviews from people who have owned both say this professional Ninja blender, whether the 1000 or 1100 watt model, is very comparable vs their Vitamix.
How is it the Professional Blender different than the Ninja Ultima Blender, Nutri Ninja and Mega Kitchen System?
While this is a good system, there are some very important differences in it versus other Ninja machines and models.
Compared to Ultima blenders and the Mega Kitchen System models, the Professional series does not have nearly as much power. The Ultimas and the Mega all have 1500 watts vs 1000 and 1100 with the Professional models. All have the same extra large pitcher, but the Mega models also come with a food processor. If you’re looking for more versatility and power, those are the ones to take a closer look at.
Compared to Nutri Ninja, this series has much more power. Those max out at 400 watts, so this one will do so much more. Also, with the Nutri, you don’t get the large container, only the cups.

- Powerful enough to make snow out of ice in a matter of seconds
- Single serve option is great to have with just 1-2 people
- Powerful enough to create smooth consistency no matter what you put in it
The only complaint here seems to be with the lids on the single-serve cups, as they don’t seal very well. While they’re fine to put into your car’s cup holder, it’s not recommended to throw them into your gym bag unless you want to risk a leak.
Another thing to note is that the suction cups on the bottom of the base work really well, in fact almost too well. Some users say it’s hard to move after you’re done with it, but they sure hold it in place while its running.
Overall Consumer Ratings
Overall, customer reviews rate the Ninja Professional Blender series at 4 out of 5 stars. While it’s an excellent machine and will do just about any job you’d need it for in a regular household kitchen, it doesn’t have the massive power of other Ninja blenders. While it is comparable with many Vitamix models (and is MUCH more powerful than the Nutribullet or Magic Bullet), it stacks up well at a lesser cost. Right now, Amazon has the Ninja Professional for $25 off.
